Wet cement is not inspiring.

I went to P.S. 1 today in the rain. Boy does that place looks sad with no outdoor art or Europeans dancing in the courtyard. It was just wet and gray and plain and a little eastern block-ish, or a lot eastern block-ish. They should maybe get a tree or something for days like this. I saw the unicorn piece by Børre Sæthre that my friend who heldped with the install had told me about, it was great. It's a giant Unicorn behind weird magic glass, how can you go wrong? I also liked Swimming Pool by Leandro Erlich with a bunch of little kids running around in it. I'd make a better attempt to describe them, but I'll sound like an idiot so I put links in instead. Have fun!

Officially Christmas

Thanksgiving!! The parade, the smurfs, the snoopys, the rockettes, the pies, the sales coming tomorrow, the love!! It's been a great day everyone.

T-Giving!!

Happy Thanksgiving! What I'm thankful for is that my aunt Shellie is so fabulously photogenic that I can easily turn family photos into prints and drawings. I'm also thankful for cornbread stuffing and brussel sprouts with bacon and green bean casserole and for the many many pies that will be entering my life within a matter of hours. Mostly though, I'm thankful for all of the people who are making all of these great things for me. Have a great day everyone!

Thanksgiving eve

The Christmas lights are up, the Christmas songs are playing, we've all got too many groceries in our fridge, and it can only mean one thing. We're all going to get up way to early to start washing out turkeys and making vegetable stock. Personally, I'm more excited for the morning after, it's the one day a year when you want dinner for breakfast and not the other way around.

Scientists Agree!

I don't have internet access at my house, I keep my laptop in my bookshelf and my iphone is slow loading the internet. Scientists agree that this blog is ill fated and that I am 74% more likely to abandon this project than someone who steals wifi from their neighbor. Also a recent related study done at Columbia University showed that after Feb. 17 when T.V. switches to digital my mooching off of friends TiVo will increase by 2-3 hours a week and I will need to borrow 23% more dvds than in 2007. So stock up, make some room on that couch and get ready to follow my blog!
